I'm finally going to do it. After seeing so many bloggers counting their blessings day after day, week after week, I'm finally going to join them. It helps that friends are gathering monthly to discuss this most beautifully written book, so poetic and raw and meditative and inspirational. I'm motivated now by the promise of the miracle that never fails to follow giving thanks to The Giver of all gifts. I want it - the joy that comes from learning how to really see the multitude of ways that God showers his love on me all day every day in big ways and small.
And so I begin.
1) 61 degrees at 5:00 am in January
2) Graceful curves of orange tulips
3) A friend to keep me company at the gym
4) 8yo son making me cheesy scrambled eggs
5) Husband back safely (and one day early) from business trip
6) Uncluttered countertops
7) So that 6yo son can zoom his cars from one end to the other
8) Plans for family vacation in May
